OLT was founded 14 February 1994 by four friends: Wil Harris, Erik Backus, Kelly Gardner, and Wendy Showell. Upon conception of the idea of OLT, the friends turned to Baird's Guide to American College Fraternities and Sororities. There they chose the 'Officials' for OLT.
